Mugshot: Wesley Snipes has been ordered today to start serving his three year jail sentence on December 9
Wesley Snipes says he's dreading going to jail tomorrow as he prepares to hand himself into the police - but that he's hopeful his prayers of a reprieve will be answered.
The Blade star is preparing to start a three year prison sentence tomorrow after being found guilty of wilfully failing to pay tax .
But talking on Larry King Live on CNN last night, 48-year-old actor said: 'We still have prayers out there. We still believe in miracles. So don't send me up the river yet.' He also clasped his hands together and urged viewers 'pray for me.'
Snipes is due to report to McKean Federal Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania tomorrow but is still maintaining his innocence.
But his lawyer Daniel R Meachum told King he was planning a last-ditch bid to appeal against the sentence today.
However, Snipes cautioned: 'I think any man would be nervous if his liberty is at stake. I'm disappointed that the system seems not to be working for me in this situation.'

Snipes was initially found guilty of failing to file tax returns in April 2008, despite please for his freedom from some of his famous friends, including Woody Harrelson and Denzel Washington.

The star of movies including White Men Can't Jump and Passenger 57 received the maximum sentence from a judge in Florida, for dodging more than $15 million (£7.5 million) in federal income taxes on earnings from the peak of his career.
His lawyers argued that his tax advisers, Douglas P Rosile and Eddie Ray Kahn, who were also jailed yesterday, had duped their client with a claim that there were no laws requiring him to pay tax.

Snipes immediately appealed against the sentence, but had it turned down in July this year.
His lawyers had argued that the sentence was 'unreasonable' and that he should have been granted a hearing to decide whether his trial should have been held in New York instead of Florida.
They also dispute prosecutors claims that said Snipes filed no tax returns on earning since 1999 and that he had been involved in a tax resisters group.
Snipes calmly stated to King: 'This is another thing that has been misreported: It has been framed that I was a conspirator and that I was an architect in a scheme by an organization that has been characterized as tax protesters.
'The press hasn't reported that I was a client of people who I trusted [who] had knowledge and expertise in the areas of tax law that would protect my interests.'
Snipes suggested he was unfairly singled out by prosecutors.
'It does seem to be rather unusual and rather bizarre when you had a prosecutor come into the sentencing and say that this is the biggest tax trial in the history of the IRS. I think there is a certain amount of selectivity going on here.'

Family: Snipes wanted to spend time with his young family over the holiday season
